I got 9900 ideas and I finally finished one

You know how sometimes you are just scrolling through Ravelry, Etsy shops, or Pinterest and you just keep coming across patterns for things you want to knit or crochet? That's me all day; every day. I can't tell you how many times I have gone searching for 1 pattern and before I know it - I'm up to 126 patterns to buy in my Ravelry shopping cart, 311 projects in my queue and 1665 favorites.  To make it easier on myself; I have started just clicking om the patterns link and scrolling through what ever is the  newest - several times a day lol.  That's how I came across this little quickie by www.yayforyarn.com. The pattern can be found here on Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/designers/yay-for-yarn-patterns. So as I was saying - I found this little quickie of a pattern. I live in Florida; but I am northerner at heart. It can be 900 degrees outside and I still feel under dressed if I don't have on more than one layer. Not to mention; I work from home; so it can be chilly at one end of the house and warm at the other and I invariably find myself needing that little something extra to take the chill off. I have to say - this was a great beginner friendly pattern; took me 2 days to crochet and that was in between other projects; and I put it on as soon as I wove in my last end. Then I promptly started another one for the Fall - I'm just omitting the lace eyelets. Needless to say - I love it.

It currently has 34 hats in it. My goal is to have 100 to send out this October to hats for the homeless in NJ and there is a community in the Appalachians that I am donating to this winter as well. Some I knit by hand, others I crocheted and several I whipped up as double thick on my Addi. Do you guys have charity projects that you do? If so, which ones? I'd love to work with Project Linus but there isn't one local to me. I've been contemplating starting one of my own up here in Tampa Bay. What do you think?

This week I'm contemplating starting 2 new shawls and I'm getting ready to add the mohair to my As if Tee. The pattern can be found at https://www.ravelry.com/designers/shay-johnson on Ravelry. I'm also working on writing my first pattern for fingerless mitts with fingering weight sock yarn. Terrifying  yet satisfying - Kinda like trying a new type of Sushi  :)

Oh and I got lots of squishy mail today; but that's another story for another day. Either way - that's all I have for this week so far.

Bye bye for now!
