Yesterday I saw a UFO or more specifically I saw 5 UFO's

You ever get to just scrolling Instagram and then come across a post that has a # that you absolutely have to jump right on to? That's what happened to me on Friday. There I was minding my own business scrolling through images of my best friend's baby boy eating an ice cream cone,  possible inspiration that I might be saving to send my hubby later and some really beautiful crocheted shawl images. When out of the blue I come across this post for something called the #ufoproject.  Now for those of you that don't know me it is worth pointing out here that I always have somewhere between 7 and 10  different projects going at any one time.  I blame it on the fact that I probably spend at least 1/3 of my awake time scrolling through Ravelry.  So needless to say;  when I came across the #ufoproject; I figured this would be a great opportunity for me to finish off some of those projects that I've started. Here are the list of 5 UFO's that I saw on Sunday. Number 1 was Max's socks. They are knit on size 1.5 needles with an afterthought heel in this lovely blue yarn. The problem with socks is that unless I do them 2 at a time I invariably find myself with 1 completed sock and 1 sock still sitting on the needles which is exactly where I found myself. So 1st and foremost was to Kitchener stitch the toe of Max's sock shut and add the heel. #ufoproject  number 2 was that I finally decided to frog my #Norwoodshawl.  Now I cannot lie and say that there was not a certain amount of sadness here as the entire time I'm pulling out row after row of garter stitch; I kept asking myself do I really want to pull this out but I pressed forward; pulled it out wound up the cake and put it on the shelf. I did gain a row counter I would have the whole thing because in the ziploc with the yarn and the pattern was my row counter. Number 3 was my As If Tee.  I had spent 2 days and had gone to 7 different types of yarn trying to get the appropriate gauge before I gave up finally I went on to
Yarn Scout and ordered some aran weight yarn in the colorway Teacup that was going to actually give me the correct gauge. The down side to this was that I still tried to get gauge with some of the yarn that I had and I had actually managed to accomplish this with one particular wool yarn. After scouring the Internet and then sending a picture of the yarn to my mom she pointed out to me that this was indeed a hand dyed yarn there had been dyed by Debbie a Sin City's knits 5 years ago at least and the chances of me finding a yarn similar to it are next to nil. So I frogged my As if Tee. On a good note the yarn did not go to waste because I whipped out my Addi knitting machine and made a hat for charity with it. Number 4 on my UFO list was my Drops Naxos Pullover.

I used Drops baby alpaca and Drops kid silk to knit this sweater and if you follow me on Ravelry; I'm mrsterez2013 there BTW, then you will know that I have been working on this sweater for about a year; but in all fairness it hasn't been worked on for the entire year; as probably for the last 6 months it's only been waiting for its 2nd sleeve which I am proud to say it now has. Last but not least is #ufoproject  Number 5. This is my #flaxsweater  made out of Redheart Dreamy for my niece.  I whizzed right through the body and then I started working on the sleeves. I got 3/4 of the way done with one sleeve and decided that I really wasn't enjoying this sleeve very much and maybe I would fare better if I started with the other sleeve. I didn't enjoy that one very much either  - Go figure right? - so on Sunday I decided that my niece was going to have a short sleeve sweater to wear this winter.  Of course my niece thinks this water is the greatest thing ever being that it's too big and it's so incredibly fluffy and she can pull her knees up into her chest. So those are my 5 UFO said I manage to accomplish on Sunday and now you know how it is that I was able to see 5 UFO's on Sunday. This is probably where I should point out that I still have a good 6 or 7 projects that I need to work on ranging from a honeycomb shawl to a pair of fingerless mitts so I'm sure not too much time will pass before I see another UFO
